Snapchat Report: Creator Content is Becoming a Core Driver of Brand Marketing
Snapchat's latest report indicates that, based on users' interaction patterns centered on close relationships and daily communication, creator content significantly outperforms traditional advertising in marketing effectiveness on the platform. The report shows that 57% of users follow creators to learn about their daily lives, and authentic brand-sponsored content can make 66% of users feel stronger excitement about the brand. Additionally, creator ads have 25% longer playtime than standard ads and 16% higher active attention.

Snapchat recently released a new report focusing on the growing influence of creator marketing within the platform. The study explores how integrating creator content into brand campaigns can effectively enhance brand favorability and improve consumer response.
Snapchat notes that creator content is more effective because of how users interact within the app—it emphasizes intimate relationships and everyday communication rather than passive content consumption. This is because creator stories appear in the feeds of users who are more inclined to engage with them rather than merely browse.
According to Snapchat: "On Snapchat, creator ads not only generate impressions but also drive stronger attention, deeper trust, and measurable actions across the entire conversion journey from awareness to purchase. When creators appear in the context of people's most meaningful connections, brands see higher engagement, stronger purchase intent, and more efficient campaign performance."
In fact, Snapchat states that 57% of Snapchat users follow creators to gain a deeper understanding of their daily lives. The company says this means that on Snapchat, the relationship between creators and audiences is more conversational than a one-way broadcast. This more intimate form of interaction leads to greater influence, which is why creator collaborations are more likely to drive user response within the app.
"This closeness has quantifiable brand impact. When brand-sponsored creator content feels authentic and credible, Snapchat users are 66% more likely to feel excited about the brand," Snapchat added.
Snapchat also says that creator content within the app feels less intrusive in nature, which helps brand messages be absorbed more deeply.
"It doesn't feel like an interruption that people swipe past; instead, it becomes content users willingly engage with," Snapchat states. "Creator ads have longer view times and attract more active attention than standard ads because they blend seamlessly with the platform experience. In fact, on Snapchat, creator ads have 25% longer play duration and 16% higher active attention than standard brand ads."

Snapchat points out that marketers can take advantage of this trend in several ways:
- Sponsored Snaps: Deliver creator-led content directly to users' inboxes, creating a more intimate connection.
- Sponsored AR Filters & Lenses: Brands can use Snap Camera to invite users to interact, "turning creator content into an interactive and immersive experience."
- Scaled partnerships in Stories and Spotlight: Brands can amplify creator collaborations in Stories and Spotlight through Snap Ads and UGC (user-generated content).
Finally, Snapchat concludes that creator marketing "works best when the content format closely aligns with users' existing communication habits." Given how users connect within the app, this characteristic naturally aligns with Snapchat user behavior, providing brands with greater growth opportunities.
