Meta adds multiple growth incentives for paid subscribers

Meta is trying to offer more attractive plans for Meta One subscribers, adding several new feature options aimed at helping creators and businesses grow.

According to social media researcher Jonah Manzano, posted on Threadsscreenshots, Meta is pushing a series of improved and updated incentives to its paying users, including:

  • Displaying larger follow buttons in Reels to help users with Facebook professional pages build their audience.
  • Expanding access toAI-powered reply toolswithin Messenger.
  • Enhancing profile features to make it easier to showcase external websites and profile links.
  • Improving page listing features, including the option to add up to 3 location listings.

Manzano said Meta One subscribers were also informed that they can nowset up automatic invitations for users who interact with their posts. According to the company, this feature is promoted as a means to "automatically grow followers."

The feature of automatically inviting users who interact with posts has existed on Facebook and LinkedIn for some time, and it can serve as an automated growth lever. However, there is currently insufficient data to prove the effectiveness of this feature.

These updates indicate that Meta is more seriously pushing for subscription revenue growth by offering tools and business collaboration options that may be valuable to creators and brands.

In May of this year,Meta announced a series of paid add-on packages for Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp; in July, the company alsoannouncedthat it would soon charge for access to certain advanced AI features.

Meta has not yet released official adoption data for its subscription service. However, fromMeta's quarterly earnings updates, the relevant figures suggest that approximately 35 million Facebook and Instagram users may have subscribed to Meta Verified so far, generating about $2 billion in additional annual revenue.

In the context of Meta's overall revenue, this scale is not significant. Metaachieved over $200 billion in revenue in 2025, so the subscription business accounts for only a small portion of its operations.

But since the company has committed nearly $1 trillion to data centers and AI projects, these revenues are crucial and will contribute to owner Mark Zuckerberg's long-term vision.
