Meta Expands Perks for Paid Subscribers to Boost Creator Growth

Meta is sweetening its Meta One subscription offering with new features aimed at helping creators and businesses grow. Updates include a larger follow button on Reels, expanded AI response tools in Messenger, enhanced profile options, and auto-invites for post interactions. These moves come as Meta seeks to expand its subscription revenue, which remains a small fraction of its overall income.

Meta Expands Perks for Paid Subscribers to Boost Creator Growth

Meta is enhancing its Meta One subscription package with additional incentives designed to support growth for creators and businesses, according to recent updates shared with paying users.

Social media researcher Jonah Manzano posted screenshots on Threads showing that Meta is alerting subscribers to a range of improved benefits. These include:

  • A larger follow button on Reels to help users with Facebook Professional Profiles build their audience.
  • Expanded access to Meta's AI-powered response tools within Messenger.
  • Enhanced profiles that make it easier to display off-platform sites and profiles.
  • Profile listing improvements, including the option to add up to three location listings.

Manzano also noted that Meta One subscribers are being informed they can now set up auto-invites for people who interact with their posts. This feature is promoted as a way to “grow followers automatically,” according to the company.

The auto-invite option has been available on both Facebook and LinkedIn for some time, offering an automated lever to drive growth. However, there is limited public data on its effectiveness.

These updates signal Meta's increasing focus on growing its subscription revenue by providing tools and business partnership options that could be valuable to creators and brands.

In May, Meta announced a suite of paid add-on packages for Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. In July, the company said it would soon charge users for access to certain advanced AI features.

Meta has not released official data on subscriber uptake. However, based on Meta's quarterly performance updates, estimates suggest that around 35 million Facebook and Instagram users may have signed up for Meta Verified so far, generating roughly $2 billion in additional annual revenue.

In the context of Meta's overall financials, this remains a small fraction. Meta reported more than $200 billion in revenue in 2025, making subscriptions a minor component of its business.

Nevertheless, with Meta committing close to $1 trillion in spending on data centers and AI projects, every revenue stream contributes to funding owner Mark Zuckerberg's long-term ambitions.
