TikTok announced the expansion of its TikTok Go programin the U.S. market. The program offers creators a convenient way to earn commissions based on user referrals generated from accommodations and vacation options tagged in their posts.
The program was initially launched in August with limited access for hotel promotions. Through TikTok Go, creators can tag their location in content and use relevant commercial labels, thereby earning commissions based on conversions generated from their content.
According to TikTok's official statement: "Every day, people come to TikTok to find their next adventure...TikTok GO presents accommodations and activities through the ways users already discover content on TikTok, such as videos, search, and location pages. When users find an option they like, they can view details, check availability, and complete a booking in just a few simple steps."

The program is open to creators and can be accessed through the "Monetization" option in their TikTok creator account. Creators are provided with a list of accommodations and vacation-related businesses they can tag to add to their published posts.

Creators can directly select the "Post content" option from the list, and the system will automatically add location tags, thereby guiding users to complete bookings directly through the post.
Published posts will include relevant information and a note to transparently indicate that the creator is earning a commission from this post.

To expand the program's tagging options, TikTok U.S. has also added a series of partner integrations, including Booking.com, Expedia, Viator, GetYourGuide, Tiqets, and Trip.com。
This move will provide travel businesses with more opportunities to increase their influence within the app; at the same time, it also creates opportunities for more creators to earn income through updating content on TikTok.
The program may have significant strategic value. According to a recent report released by Adobe, nearly half of U.S. consumers currently use TikTok as a search engine during the discovery process.
