TikTok launched the first season of this podcast in December 2025, featuring 10 episodes with exclusive interviews from several well-known musicians. Now, the platform has introduced a new season, but with a reduced number of episodes.

According to TikTok's official announcement: "This season, again hosted by Trackstar's Jack Coyne, consists of four episodes and will feature exclusive conversations with Bebe Rexha, Lykke Li, Malcolm Todd, and Josh Groban, giving fans an in-depth look at the work, stories, and creative inspirations that shaped each artist's latest musical phase."

TikTok stated that the show aims to help fans build a more intimate, personal connection with the music they love, "while also honoring TikTok's ongoing role in music discovery, fan communities, and artist storytelling."

TikTok has become a key platform in music discovery. A recent study conducted in partnership with Luminate showed that TikTok users in the U.S. are 74% more likely to discover and share new music on the app than the average short-form video user. TikTok also plays a significant role in boosting the visibility of music releases. The study also found that 84% of songs that entered the Billboard 200 chart in 2024 first gained traction on the app.

According to Rolling Stone, record label executives have even begun adjusting the titles of some songs by their artists to better align with trending topics on TikTok.

Given the app's growing influence, this approach makes sense from a business perspective. It further highlights TikTok's significant value to the music industry.
